Light Hearted Latin Jazzy Reggae Pop

After the events on September 11th I went home and took out my guitar and wrote this song. It seemed like everyone was hell bent on revenge. We were all in shock. That tragedy was a wake up call in many ways and our view of the world was forever changed. I think that more war is not what we need, but more love. More care for each other, the homeless, the orphaned and lost and lonely souls all over our country and the world. I have friends from the Philippines who told me we live in a fantasy land in this country. We have so much, yet there is so much hunger and war through out the rest of the world. We are so fortunate here. But we have our homeless and hungry too. I long for a day when we can use more of our wealth to care for each other and less to make the rich richer or to make more war. Violence is no answer. Yet, evil is alive and well on planet earth, so what do we do? We learn to love each other, the way that Jesus did. As to the rest, God only knows. Papa G

The World Moved On

The world moved on on 911
What's been done can't be undone
The sense of secure now seems so obscure
Now it looks like peace is on the run
Yes it looks like peace is on the run

When will we learn to love each other
Every sister every brother
Reach out and take a hand
Ask God to bless this land
Learn to discover how to love one another

Is there a way when there's a will?
A thirst for revenge and a hunger to kill
Throughout history it is God who's kept us free
World wars will rage on until
World wars will rage on until

We will we learn to love each other
Every sister every brother
Reach out and take a hand
Ask God to bless this land
Learn to discover how to love one another

Every act of violence will be abhorred
When we learn to love each other like the Lord
When we learn to love each other like the Lord

When will we see the error of our ways.
Souls cry out from the terror of these days.
If we give into hate we are locking heaven's gate
Remember we are standing in God's gaze
Remember we are standing in God's gaze

When will we learn to love each other
Every sister every brother
Reach out and take a hand
Ask God to bless this land
Learn to discover how to love one another
