March 1st
Arizona or Washington, who knows.
Freedom is in Sedona and in love. It looks like he is seeing the band rehearsing
and living there to prepare for touring and promoting their CD.
At the moment Rob Peebler is working
as an engineer in Silent T and Producing CD's for musician friends and family.
He is working on a project with Rejoice Israel and has been helping me with
Bill Spies project.
Casey Garland will be returning
weekly starting March to have fun laying down tracks for the River Runner
CD.
Sarah just did a quick sample of
her composing skills for a short film she produced for her dance group. She
is so good in so many areas, I think it makes her a little crazy sometimes.
I said, don't worry about it, you can do it all.
I haven't been writing here lately.
I have tunes I haven't finished. It seems I need to write my way through some
stored up pain because each time that type of song comes up I just stop writing
it. I have never censored my writing before so I guess I had better get over
it or write it down. |
Software
and hardware and where do you go. There is so much to continually learn in
a study. Digital, analogue or should it be digital that sounds like analogue.
What
to plug in where and how do you get effects in the headphones?
How come everything was working before I went to the bathroom? It is always
an adventure. There are certainly some times when I feel like if I never
saw a computer again that it would be just fine.
But there are so many things that we can do now and I love the fact that
we can record music at home and compete with the big boys in the quality
of sound we get. I look forward to spending more time playing music in front
of the mic and someone else sitting at the console.
We
are considering moving out of state or at least out of this area in which
we live. If people keep moving in we may just move to a bigger place.
The busy versus the art of music are often a challenge. We love music, we
want to promote artists and help get that good sound out there. Keeping people
on their toes and up to date on studio time can be a challenge at first.
Pay as you go is critical to the survival of a little studio, because time
has shown that if you aren't paid as you go, you mostly don't get paid. Besides
we built this studio to record the music we make and it seems to fall the
end of the queue continually. Artists, including us, don't like to deal with
that business stuff in relation to music.
All
in all things are good and we look forward to a productive spring.
God
bless
