way to express emotion and to paint a picture with words.

Beyond My Window

Beyond my window the night mist lay

Nestled against the earth's face

The moist gray blanket would not give place

Nor will time let go

Beyond my window

The earth and mist lay like lovers

I dreamed you were the earth and I your covers

And it seemed that it was so

Beyond my window in slumber's depths

Your steps I traced and we embraced

This love : a seed that longs to grow

And you are the earth

Beyond my window
