Updates
Jan 26th. Freedom will be coming home maybe even by the 27th of this month. Rob is back and we are busy combining our efforts with the studio. It is full speed ahead.  There are many exciting projects ahead and our calendar is filling rapidly. Josh has begun tracking some of his songs and he is playing so fine.

The services in Bellingham Covenant are a real God send. It is so beautiful to play music with Paul and Kevin. It is fun to have that 3 part harmony and for me to sing the alto. The church is dimly light and the mood is very warm. There are some excellent singers out in front of the alter and it is truly a united experience with the whole flow being one of Spirit, prayer and meditation. It is tough to muster the energy for the hour and a half drive each way every other Sunday, but we always leave feeling blessed for the effort.

Freedom and Rob are nearing completion of their mixes in New York. Rob will be coming home and Freedom will remain to oversee the mastering. I am so happy that there are tracks on this wonderful album that were recorded at Silent T Studios. I am looking forward to working with Rob when he returns. He is a masterful engineer.
I talked to Freedom on his birthday and he said it is going great mixing the CD. They have a good flow going with Matt Stein and I listened to Angelina on the cell phone and it sounded rich and full.
We wish you all the best in 2004. We look forward to the next phase of growth for Silent T Studios and the opportunity to serve the artistic community. We are considering some possibilities of moving to Asia to expand our opportunities. We will be doing some traveling this year to check out possibilities.

Performances
I played at Taildraggers at the Arlington Airport the first weekend of January with the shake and bake band. It was great fun and it is a room I will be playing with the band once a month starting in March. I will let you know when I have more details.
The Sunday performance at Bellingham Covenant Church was very special. It was peaceful and the music was lovely. Paul Peterson lead and Kevin played the grand piano. Paul and Kevin have played together for years. I just noodled on the guitar and sang alto harmony, but mostly I just soaked up the Spirit of the evening and the energy was very healing. I will be back in B'ham on the last Sunday of the month.

I will be at Provs the third weekend of January.

Watch the schedule for Cafe de Paris too see if I will continue to play 7-9 on Friday and Saturday evenings. The cafe is at 109 Main Street in downtown Edmonds on the right, just before the ferry. Reservations are recommended but not necessary.
This is a nonsmoking restaurant.
425-771-2350

I will also be playing at the Bellingham Covenant Church every other Sunday evening for a few months from 6:30 to 7:30 for an evening of worship and meditation and prayer.

Studio
Jan 26th   Bill Spies and I did a session in Nuendo last week and it went well .What a program. It can be challenging but it is close to tape as you can get without a reel. It just gets better each week. Now that Rob is back I will get him on the board and help Bill leap forward with his songs on now. The moments are grand.

We will be continuing to work with Bill Spies on his project in the New Year. We took a break for the holiday.    Casey will be in this month to make a plan on using up some time and playing some music.
I hope to wrap up Scott Drexler's songs this month. Don Quijano tracked a tune called Come Back and we had a good time with that. It was good to hear Don sing.

Thank You
Happy New Year to all the musicians I have shared the joy of music over the years. In many ways making music has been the richest part of my life. It it is the time I feel almost present and alive. No other thoughts or cares are there. Thanks to all the people have helped me keep on because the music touches them as well. Thanks to Jimmy Culler and Mike Daily for being the rhythm section that could.
Thanks to Kenny Lee for continuing to support live music in his fine restaurant. It has been great to play there all these years. To Jamie Phalen for being a great player and good friend. To the musicians like Dale Fuentes, who travels from Whidbey Island and shows up to so many gigs. Scott and Deb MacGougan who come in and share the corner with me from time to time. To Dale and Kathy for calling out their custom made set lists when I have a brain lapse. To all of you players and listeners who are sharing this time on the planet. Let's stay friends forever.
