February 5, 2010 I will be doing a show at the Tulalip Casino in the Cabaret on Feb 12th for Acoustic Friday. 5 - 8 PM, 3 sets with We Are Not the Delivery Boys band. This group includes Ron Llinas on guitar and vocals, Jimmy Culler on bass and vocals, Mike daily on hand drums and vocals. We are leaning on harmonies and sense of humor to pull off the gig. Let's all have a laugh together. A local agency booked the gig for the DB's and dropped the ball about telling Tulalip there is no Delivery Boys any more. Therefore the Tulalip Website has had a marque that says The Greg Murat Band inserted where it used to say DB's and a picture of the Delivery Boys. Cool. But who cares, they are all better looking anyway. It should be the Ron Llinas band since he is the one coming up with all the gigs. I voted for Doz Guys, or Doz Amigos. A name and a band sounds as old as I am.
Don't really know what we are going to play, a bunch of songs probably. Whateve we can fit in 3 tightly monitored sets. It will be fun. Interesting. This is quite likely the last time I will be at Tulalip, since I think Andie has finally found a nursing home that will take me. Come out and take some pictures and share them with the band. We have been having fun and practicing a lot, once or twice a month, so we should have it down. I think we know 8 songs now. We may get together again one more time before the gig to work on our dance steps. I am planning on playing plenty of mellow originals so you might want to bring a pillow and blanket. Obla di obla da. I am looking forward to playing and seeing lots of friends. All kidding aside. It will be a grand time. See you there.
