 Pure and Sebastian

Arizona was good. Sarah was just saying how nice it was to get away. She worked hard the hole time on a composition she is writing in Reason. Laptop and headphones were her daily attire.
We have lots going with our own and other projects.

Andie is learning about a product called Juice Plus + and she has both of us taking it. She also has Faith on it. I can really feel a difference. It has taken about three weeks but I am sleeping through the night and that is an adventure in itself. I haven't been able to do that for many years now. She will have a web site to promote her new venture shortly. I give it a hearty two thumbs up.

The Freedom Tribe continues to make wonderful music. I love the mix on Live In Ashland. Check them out and watch for tour dates.

Doug and I listening to a demo of his Phoenix band.

The next time we get together I want to have more time and play some music together.

We have a busy schedule this summer so I am not sure when that will be. I know Doug and Carrie will be here in July. We will have a matter of hours before we are off on adventure of our own. We will see if we get together. I hope so.

The Wedge, Mish, Josh, Cherish, Pure & Miracle-Family

Our household is blessed with an ever increasing family. We are all traveling spirits and so that makes for a constantly changing number of people in our home but we love and welcome them all.

Lots of spirits from the Israel family have graced our home with their presence and music and we are grateful for the sharing.

This photo is from one of the evenings spent playing music in the living room. We have dreamed of this home of music and art for so long. It is very good for the soul. There will be much more in the future at Silent T.

I continue to enjoy the time I spend with Bill Spies on his CD project. The sincerity and spirituality of the music is so refreshing. I think a lot of good will come from this project in the long run. We are discussing a website and I hope to be a part of creating that vehicle to provide a forum for what Bill has to say.

  •   Rejoice Israel will be working with Rob to continue her project either by going to Arizona or waiting for him to return.
  • We have the basic foundation recorded for 10 songs for the new CD. Mark Dodge is coming on board for the project and he spoke to me yesterday about a keyboard player who may be interested. It looks like things are really coming together for this project. I am interested in recording an album we can reproduce on stage. Just like in the old days.
  •  Okay, this is the update. The score is 7 to 0 in Nuendo's favor but I am doing late night reading and I think I may be able to score pretty soon. Steinberg's Nuendo is amazing recording software. It is pretty much Cubase but with a not so pretty face. Mike is running Cubase and I am coaching from the side. It is kind of like the blind leading the blind but this way we will both figure it out faster. That is the plan anyway. Mike is very diligent and he will have this mastered in minutes I am sure. We would both gladly hand the engineer coat and hat to someone else so we could just play, but what are you going to do?
  • Sarah is working out on Reason and played me some fine grooves she wrote using four different drum kits. She is starting to make that software dance.
I Love May. This is the month we will be heading to Sedona to check out the country side and see Freedom and Rob and the tribe. We will be spending lots of time with my friend and former song writing partner, Doug Hamilton and his wife Carrie. They have lived in Arizona for years. We are looking forward to catching up and drinking some pints of Doug's very fine Micro Brew.
Andie talked to Rob, Pure and Mish and they seem to be doing good in Arizona. It will be good to see them again. And I am excited to hear Freedom sing his songs again in person.

Doug explains the art of Micro Brewing.

  • We have been spending a good deal of time dialing in Mike Daily's Studio 04. His space is beautiful and I don't think we will have to worry about cutting any drum tracks over here. Mike has a ton of room and drums and a very large vocal booth. We have broken in the space working on a new CD of Murat tunes and also working on Bill Spies project. It is all good.

  • The first big deal this month was the Luau at Taildraggers. This was to be one big Island party with people from Kona brewery and Captain Morgan's and a lot more. There was an air show in the afternoon and then a big pig roast after that and then we go for the kick up the sand music. They hauled in ton of sand to make a beach out below the deck. It was quite a show with lots of old and new friends. I just hooked up with Mark Dodge and what a treat that has been. I just peeked at his website. Andie dug in deep and was amazed by the photography. He is a very versatile musician and a fun person to be around. I look forward to the next show and many more endeavors together in the future. I remember seeing Mark play at Panama's with Morgan Whalen back more than a few years. I can't remember if that was the time of the Banana Brothers or afterwards. Who can remember the 80's?.
  • That is it in an HTML nutshell. God bless
