I sang some harmonies and played a little percussion on Caribbean
Islands as I a muddle towards the completion of this project. I had fun doing
that. I even played a little solo on the Hernandez and on the Piano. It reminded
me how much I do love recording. I have been at it almost every night this
week. It feels good.
As for Provinces this weekend I have heard from Jimmy, Christopher,
Ronnie and John Matthews. John is probably booked so I will probably bring
in the cousin to Tito and Eddie, the Roland 770, doctor of rhythm. I am looking
forward to a full weekend of music. Some friends from Starbucks are coming
in to see me play and I am excited about that as well. Another day in a life
at Silent T.

I had a nice visit with Jimmy Culler last night. He put down some bass tracks
on Caribbean Islands. We just jammed a bit and talked about life. He is doing
his clean and sober birthday ritual. It lasts until it is done, sometimes
Thanksgiving, sometimes Christmas. I had planned to embark on that journey
with him but alas I have not set upon that road as yet. It was good to visit
and play some music.
Bill Spies will begin recording another of his songs the Provs weekend. We
will be recording at Studio 04, Mike Daily's studio and I will continue to
produce the project. I am looking forward to spending some time with Bill.
The CD is proving elusive in our efforts to finish it in time for Christmas. I am tempted to do a live limited addition project for all the people awaiting a new CD. I am open to the wonderful possibilities that are awaiting.
